On July 22, 2018, the 2018 "Born Swimmer" Arena Cup · Celebrating the 10th Anniversary of the Beijing Olympics Urban Swimming Series (Qingdao Station) was held at the Swimming and Diving Hall of Qingdao Guoxin Sports Center. This competition is hosted by the Swimming Management Center of the General Administration of Sport of China and the China Swimming Association; Hosted by Shandong Swimming Management Center, Shandong Swimming Association, and Qingdao Guoxin Cultural and Sports Industry Co., Ltd; And jointly organized by Arina (Shanghai) Industrial Co., Ltd., Qingdao Badminton and Swimming Sports Management Center, and Qingdao Guoxin Industrial Development Co., Ltd; Shuzhi Sports and Qingdao Nanhai Swimming Club are supporting units.

  The "Born Swimmer" Arena Cup Urban Swimming Series is a new type of event established this year by the Swimming Sports Management Center of the General Administration of Sport of China and the China Swimming Association to conscientiously implement and practice the spirit of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, fully embody the sports development concept of "putting the people at the center", and celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Beijing Olympics.

  The theme of this competition is to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Beijing Olympics, in order to promote the popularization and development of swimming sports nationwide, and provide high-level amateur swimming events for swimming enthusiasts. More than 600 referees, coaches, and athletes from all over the country participated. The competition events include freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly, individual medley, and kick events (under 7 years old group), with a total of 35 sub events. In order to increase the enthusiasm of people of all ages to participate in swimming, the organizing committee has set up ten groups, with the smallest participating group being the group under 7 years old and the largest being the group aged 55-60 years old. In this competition, Zhou Yafei, a former member of the Chinese swimming team and an Asian butterfly queen, was specially invited to assist and had a warm interaction with the participating swimmers. The competition ended successfully in a lively and joyful atmosphere.
